OBJECTIVE 2 - HELPING PRIORITY ENTRANTS ACCESS WORK THROUGH
HANDS-ON CRAFT, TECHNICAL AND PRODUCTION TRAINING
Connected Skills combines training with a placement, often best
suited for career changers or those needing to supplement existing
qualiocations with role-based learning.
HOW IT WORKS
"
Intensive courses at major studios or facilities, targeting
local priority production, craft and technical roles
"
Industry partners commissioned on a case-by-case basis
"
Means-tested bursaries ofered to support those
who need it
"
Places prioritised for underrepresented groups
This programme provides alternative ways into the industry
and it has been crucial to work with our partners and production
companies to create training and placements that match the
needs of local productions.
We have done this by taking a localised approach, identifying
skills gaps across the partnership to ensure sustainability in
work placements and long-term employment opportunities
for participants.
